A Moment Forever

A quiet expanse of warm afternoon sun and the golden grass beneath your feet. It's the kind of moment that feels like it lasts forever, not because of the many moments you spend within it, but because it lingers with you even as the sun is swallowed beneath the horizon and the warmth turns to shadow. And when it is late and all that lights the sky are pinprick stars, you can still feel the gentle sunlight on your shoulders. It strokes your hair and your back, and, in a voice that is all silence and warmth, pulls you softly down into sleep.

This is the first piece I've actually finished for my first quarter concentration, it's supposed to be an exercise in learning lighting and texture but as you can tell I'm pretty terrible at that right now. I like it anyway though.
